Welcome all to this new year, new you and new edition of Uteckie. I am Arabella, journalist and chameleon communicator who has been tasked with taking this publication in a new direction.  I am one of Youpal Group latest additions and my team and I are committed to bringing you as much current and crisp content as possible.

To begin with, who are Youpal Group? I only recently learned the answer to this and before my eyes become veiled with habit and routine, I will tell you not only what I know, but what I think. On the onset, Youpal is a digital infrastructure company. But the difference is that it’s a company with a vision that isn’t strictly commercial. I know, most people will say nothing new in this. But I am talking here about something that has nothing to do with Corporate Social Responsibility. As I got to know Karl, the CEO of Youpal Group and one of its co-founders, he elaborated on what he hoped to achieve with his ‘cloud’. Karl doesn’t have a pipe dream…. No, far from that. His is a what I like to think of as a ‘dream upon a cloud’. If you want to find out what that is, you have to stick around.

What I know of the company so far is this: they have a cloud on which they are building many of our futures. I don’t mean this is a poetic or rhetorical way. This is real. From education, to medicine to employment, Youpal’s vision and innovation capacity is true cutting-edge, 21^st century stuff. And my part in this is to help the founders’ dreams and visions spread like wildfire. They deserve no less, since this isn’t about lining corporate pockets. The company isn’t even listed. This is about making a tangible change through digital innovation and creative entrepreneurship.

I cannot reveal too much, not because there is a need to keep a lid on anything, but because I want the founders – Karl, Ruben and James – to tell you themselves. And they will do so over the coming weeks as we begin to bounce off this present ‘cloud’ and show you around all of the other concepts and constructions that are being built on this virtual entity.

One thing I can promise is that it’s going to be fun and you will be as excited as I am. We’ve all had a tough 2020 and it’s time to turn a corner. I know that by being here and following us on social media, this is what you want to. Because it’s not a new year, it’s an entire new world that we were given as COVID19 brought the changes none of us expected. While we are grounded, restricted in our physical lives… we need not be virtually. And this is what Youpal Group’s endeavours are all about.
